Logo design made for a contest in 2025. Although I did not win, I’m proud to share my submission for the 70th Anniversary of Majlis Islam Sarawak. This project was an opportunity to explore the intersection of tradition and contemporary design. The logo design draws inspiration from Arabic-influenced calligraphy, my signature gothic lettering style, and the rich cultural heritage of Sarawak’s Islamic community. The goal was to create a visual identity that reflects growth, unity, and continuity, celebrating seven decades of service and impact. This project challenged me to balance heritage with modernity, crafting a design that honors tradition while speaking to a contemporary audience. Sharing this here is a way to document the creative process, celebrate the design journey, and inspire future explorations in cultural and calligraphic design.
